At the beginning of December 2020, Fashion Roundtable, the UK’s leading fashion think thank, presented 7 themes across 7 days for a takeover of SHOWstudio’s Instagram account. SHOWstudio is an award-winning fashion website, founded and directed by Nick Knight OBE, that has consistently pushed the boundaries of communicating fashion online with a reach of over 181,000.

The 7 themes were brought to life through IG Live conversations, virtual panel discussions and curation from Lottie Jackson that represented the below topics which make up the backbone of Fashion Roundtable’s mission.

Fashion Roundtable brought together its incredible network of activists, business owners, non-governmental organisations, charities and parliamentarians, including Labour Behind The Label, Traidcraft Exchange, Anti-Slavery International, Wardrobe Crisis’ Clare Press, Katharine Hamnett CBE, Baroness Young of Hornsey, John McNally MP, Eden Loweth from Art School, Zowie Broach from the RCA, Bethany Williams, Richard Malone, Orsola de Castro from Fashion Revolution, and more.

Our founder, and Fashion Roundtable’s Strategy and Communications Director, Jodi Muter-Hamilton had the pleasure of hosting several insightful discussions as part of the series, including a panel about the impact of climate change as seen through human stories with guests Bethany Williams, Amy Nyuguen and Marzia Lanfranchi. Plus, discussions with; Alice Wilby, Bel Jacobs (Fashion Act Now) and Clare Farrell (Extinction Rebellion) and with Jamie Windust and Wilson Oryema on fashion's relationship with activism and the importance of sustainability.
